Chocolate Festival

So a couple weeks ago I saw, while driving down 70, a sign for the Chocolate festival and I thought that is sounded like fun. Didn't really think much about it after that, until they started running commercials. Well, I've been keeping to the apartment (and starting to get cabin fever) so I figured if I could get some girls to join me I would get out of the house. I sent out an email to the MOPS moms, and got some response (two out of twenty ain't bad - it's 1/10. well putting it that way...it kinda is bad) Anyway, Chris and Katie said they would join me...so I was super excited!!! Well, today was the day. Chris got here (Katie was going to meet us there) at 10am and we headed out the door. Of course I had to stop and get gas (this rarely ever happens because, well, I rarely go anywhere)...but it was okay because it is a beautiful day! If I had to guess I would say 65 degrees, and the sun was shining...it was wonderful. So I get gas and off we go again. So we are half way there and Greyson asks for his cup (of course once we are in the car he'll drink it, but not before we left). A couple minutes later he says "all done," followed by a bout of coughing...this I know is not good. He has a slight cough going on, and I know from experience that coughing and pediasure don't mix (pediasure, just like milk, makes your saliva all thick and whatnot)...so anyway, Greyson starts coughing and I praying to myself 'please don't puke'...it didn't help. Up it comes! Ahh! I didn't pack a extra set of clothes - he rarely gets dirty or anything so why would I? But low and behold there is a Walmart! We swing in and Chris ran in to buy Greyson some pants and a shirt so he wouldn't have to sit in pukey clothes (and stinky - I hate the smell of Pediasure). So I get Greyson undressed and we wait. It took a little time, but that was because Walmart has already started changing over to spring clothes so Chris couldn't find any pants (she had to ask for help). A few minutes later out she comes...she found a cute pair of green sweats (which match Clayton's green sweats, so when he gets home they can lounge on the couch in matching sweats) and some warm-ups, t-shirt and sweatshirt outfit (all of which was on sale). She didn't know what I would want...anyway, so I thought about returning the outfit but really Greyson will fit them sooner or later so why take them back. Okay. So that fiasco is taken care of so we are on the road again.
We get to the Chocolate Festival, pay the $8.00 dollars to get in, meet up with Katie and wade into the mob of people. It was a very small building for so many people and vendors. There were tons of booths but not as many free samples. And as festivals (or fairs) go everything was over priced! The best part for me was hanging out with the girls (another MOPS mom joined us there too) and taking a trip down memory lane ( I bought some candy cigarettes and a chocolate covered banana - very nostalgic). After a short time we decided to get out of there and go somewhere for lunch. We went to McDonald's. It was nice! I don't know if I'll be going to chocolate festival next year, but for a first time outing it was nice. Thanks ladies for coming out and spending the morning with me...it was nice to get out of the house. See you all Monday for movie night at Katie's.
