The Armed Services YMCA has a program called Operation Kid Comfort whose sole purpose is to help children whose parent is deployed get through the difficulties that come with the absence of a parent. Depending on the age of the child they either receive a quilt or a pillowcase. All you have to do is fill out a form and electronically send them 9 pictures and they will do the rest. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do all 9 photos of just Greyson and Clayton. When we had to reformat our computer I didn't back up the pictures (I figured they were already on Walgreens.com so why bother)...minus the one of just Greyson and I the rest have Clayton in them. I think it turned out really cute, and I teared up with I opened it (the letter they sent along didn't help). It's nice to know there are organizations out there whose sole purpose is to make the lives of military families a little easier. A big THANK YOU to those who volunteer their time to help the children of the men and women who fight to keep us safe.

The adorable-ness of Overalls 2
So y'all know how adorable overalls are (on anyone under 5 years old and under) and since Whitney bought Greyson a pair of overall shorts I just had to take some pictures and post them. Surprisingly, they might actually be too small. Can you believe it? The boy must be getting some good eats here in Michigan. I'm going to have to get creative so that he can wear them more than this one time...I might have to add another button or something along those lines, either way he's going to wear them again...because he is just TOO darn ADORABLE!
He's not looking too happy, but doesn't it make for an adorable picture?

Rainboots, a draining pool and too much fun!!!
Greyson got rain boots for his birthday and finally got to use them. Yes, it has rained but the temperature hasn't been conducive for stomping through mud puddles and dancing in the rain...so we (or I should say Greyson) took advantage of the next best thing...
Our neighbors were draining their pool, preparing for the summer, and since Greyson was eager to go tromping through the enormous puddle in the backyard I figured we should dress accordingly. Back to grandma and grandpa's to break out those brand new rain boots...and then it was time for some fun...

Where's Clayton?
This picture was sent to Jim from lady who does correspondence between the units in Iraq and the families back here. I found Clayton in less than a second. Your turn.

Greyson's first Easter egg hunt
On Easter Sunday Greyson was invited over to the Britton's for an Easter egg hunt...it was his first. He did pretty well searching for the eggs. The girls even gave him some of the ones they found so that he wouldn't end up with zero...thanks Sophie and Maddie.
Celebrating Greyson's Birthday Michigan-style AKA: With Family
We are finally back in Michigan to spend several months with family until Clayton returns in August. Once again we celebrated Greyson's birthday, along with mine...this time with family. To mark the special occasion Greyson got his hair cut on Friday (oh, I should provide a before, I'll upload it now) and he hated every minute of it. We went to Clippers for Kids and lady was really nice and she did really well with him...Greyson would cry, cry, cry and then two seconds late be distracted by the car he was sitting in, and then two seconds later he would cry, cry, cry - it was craziness. Saturday we had my birthday dinner and Greyson's party. It was a nice time.
