This is how we do it.

Open a bottle of wine, that is.

No corkscrew?

Just use a screw, screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

Tada!

Ingenuity.

Yum!

You're How Old?

4 years old! Can you believe it? Greyson is 4 years old! Where did the time go? Soon he'll be in school. (Tear) And then he'll be a teenager, followed by a high school graduate, then he'll be off to college, he'll get a girlfriend, then get married....okay, that's enough. Let's just do this one year at a time. Greyson had a great party. He was so happy to have a bounce house, and to have his friends over, and to open presents. Near the end of the party he asked if all his friends were gone yet so he could play with all his new toys. That's normal, right? ;) A big thank you to everyone who attended and/or sent a gift. He was a very happy boy.
He's in heaven.

Jumpin' with Cassie.

He asked for a police car jump house and that's what mama got.

The Cat's Meow

Pretty cute cat, huh?
Greyson's drawings always make me smile.

It's so Ce-real.

The other day...

Greyson: "Mommy. I'm a kid."
Me: "Yup."
Greyson: "So I can eat Trix."
Me (with a smile): "You sure can."

no clever title...

I don't typically blog unless I have pics, or Greyson has said/done something humorous or impressive, or we've done something new, exciting and fun. But I figured that I could blog about the great stuff planned for the month of March and April....and then after we do it all there will be pics to post. :)

So, hmmm...Where to start?

Lets start with MOPS.
We are getting ready to do our Great Mom's Walk at the end of the month, March 23rd to be exact. As of last week we've raised $170.00 for our group. Of the $170.00, $85 was from people I reached out to...and that was from only half of them. I am so blessed to have people in my life (friends and family) who will support me, by supporting MOPS. It's a far cry from our goal, $2000.00, but I have faith that we will reach it...because God always provides for this group. I can't wait to check our MOPS mailbox on Wednesday to see if there are anymore checks waiting to be added to our existing total.
Also this month we will be starting a Book Club/Bible study. I purchases a book at last year's MOPS convention called REAL moms...REAL Jesus by Jill Savage. It was a great book, with lots of scripture reference, and Bible reading. It also comes with discussion questions for each chapter. I figured it was the perfect book to use! I have receive a good amount of interest. We will be meeting twice a month, and the book will take us through the summer and into the next MOPS year.
Next month MOPS will be having its annual yard sale. So if you have any baby stuff that you don't plan on passing along, send it to NC. :)

Now we've come to the stuff I'm really excited about (in no particular order)...

1. I went from using bands to do "pull-ups," to using a chair. I can't do as many as with the bands, but I'm proud of what I can do...which is about 10 (but I can't carry that number through the whole workout) And boy do my arms hurt...which doesn't make the most sense because I'm suppose to be working my back muscles. Hmmm?
2. This is my last month of p90x. I really enjoy the workout, but I'm ready for something new. I has become a little repetitive and I don't want to get bored...but the fact that I've made it this far without missing a single day (and on MOPS days I have to get up oober early, like 6am early, so that I can complete my workout before heading to the meeting) and without ever thinking "I don't want to do this today." I'm ready to start running again. I want to run the St. Jude's 5k on April 16th, so I need to start "training." :)
3. MY MOMMY IS COMING TO VISIT!!! I'm not excited at all. ;o) I think it would really awesome if my daddy came too, but he's started working again, so it isn't likely. Boo! :( I will be picking her up from the airport on Tuesday March 22nd at 10 or 11pm (mom, send me your itinerary) with Greyson in tow...Clayton has duty that night. And she will be here until the 28th. She will get to be here for the Great Mom's Walk, Bible Study, Greyson's birthday, a few karate classes (including Little Dragons), a Pampered Chef party (though she doesn't have to go with me, but it is a prior obligation I have), maybe if it is warm (like it has been) we'll go to Shakleford Island and look for some shells and wild horses, and church. If Jen and Jess were to tag along as well...that would be SUPER DUPER AWESOME!!!
4. WE ARE GOING TO D.C.!!! I'm not excited about this either. We will be heading up to D.C. on March 29, but first we will be making a stop at the Marine Corps museum. We hope to have dinner with a friend from Michigan who is stationed at Quantico. After the museum we will continue our drive to Alexandria, VA where we will check in to our hotel. We will be in D.C. until Friday April 1st, and while we are there we plan to walk the National mall (make it to the Jefferson memorial since I didn't make it that far when in D.C. two years ago), see the cherry blossoms in bloom (keeping our fingers crossed), we plan to visit a couple museums, and the National zoo. All of this should easily be accomplished in the three days we'll be in D.C. This will be the first time Clayton has taken leave for himself, and our first REAL family vacation...all other trips we've been on have been extended family related...this time it's all about our three-person family. :)
5. CRIS AND JIM ARE COMING FOR SPRING BREAK!!! Again, not excited. They will be here in the evening on Saturday April 2nd. I'm not sure how long they are staying, but my guess is, until the following Saturday...which means they will get to see Greyson do Little Dragons. We don't have anything planned...well, except to borrow a fire pit from someone so that Cris can enjoy her nightly fires...we'll probably play a little euchre, maybe lay out in the sun...and I'm sure Greyson will get a few new toys (though he doesn't need any...clothes, yes. toys, no.) We just enjoy having Cris and Jim come to visit. :)

If you paid any attention to the dating of events 3, 4, and 5 you will notice that they happen one after the other. Drop mom off on 28, leave for D.C. on the 29, return from D.C. on the 1, Cris and Jim arrive on the 2nd...sounds rather exhausting! I'll need a week to recoup. :)

I just can't wait for the end of the month!!!
