Little Dragons Promotion: Gold Belt

Another promotion in the Simpson family...we're moving right along. :) Greyson is now a gold belt, and we are so proud. Clayton and I were promoted to gold belt on July 20...which was unexpected since it had only been a month and a half since our last promotion...usually there are three months, if not more, between promotions...but I guess we learned the kata quickly enough so they thought we were ready. Tuesday is "National Night Out" and our dojo will be putting on demonstrations. Clayton and I have started learning our next kata which we will demonstrate, along with the yellow belt kata, on Tuesday night. I really glad that we joined karate and that we stuck with it...we hope to find a dojo when we move back north so that we can all continue to learn.

Getting Schooled

We are finally able to use this book that Cris got Greyson for its intended purpose. In the past we've "read" it to Greyson; looking at the pictures and talking about them. Now Greyson can actually use the marker and trace the words and numbers that need to be traced. He does a pretty decent job. :) We are very proud.
